Fine Hand Checkering
We offer Fine Hand Checkering on our calls.  Our checkering is done entirely in-house by highly skilled hands at 20 LPI (lines per inch).

Checkering is a very time consuming and labor intensive process of cutting overlapping lines or grooves by hand to form a diamond pattern.  Once this diamond pattern is cut into the surface it is then deepened to form the individual pointed diamonds we recognize as checkering.  Hand Checkering is an art, which lends itself to its high price, but truly finishes off a fine wood call (a perfect gift for the avid waterfowl hunter of call collector).
